WEM won the 16 team Cannon Falls Tournament on Saturday, October 10th. In the first round WEM beat Plainview-Elgin-Millville 2-0 (25-17, 25-15). WEM advanced to play Farmington and won their quarterfinal match-up 2-0 (25-18, 25-13). In the semi-final match WEM faced St. Croix Lutheran who is rated #10 in class AA. WEM won 2-0 (25-13, 28-26). In the championship match WEM beat a very scrappy Cannon Falls team 2-0 (25-21, 25-18). This is the first time WEM has won the Cannon Falls tournament. Congratulations girls!
