The WEM varsity took a team trip to Duluth in July. The girls participated in the U of M-Duluth Team camp. WEM placed 5th out of 28 teams at the tourney. In pool play the girls beat South St. Paul 2-0, Hancock 2-0, and split with Grand Rapids 1-1. In gold bracket play the team beat Braham 2-0. The next match saw WEM lose a very hard fought match 1-2 to AAA school Waconia. The Bucs then spent 3 days team building. They went hiking at Gooseberry Falls and Split Rock Lighthouse. They did a high and low ropes challenge course. They also went to Spirit Mountain Adventure Park and road the alpine coaster and zip-line. The girls learned a lot about themselves and grew as a team on the trip! Check out some of the pictures in our photo album.
